Warsaw-based orthopedic implant maker Zimmer Holdings Inc. said today its third-quarter profit rose sharply from last year, when it paid the government $169.5 million to settle charges it gave kickbacks to doctors.
Profits jumped at ITT during the third quarter as the economic slowdown apparently led more students to enroll to gain new job skills or to prepare for new careers.
